Carey Crantford

Born in New Orleans and raised in South Carolina, Carey Crantford has always had a fascination with southern history and politics. Through his undergraduate and graduate training he had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best analysts, teachers and writers on Southern politics, economics and culture. His interest in the dynamics of political change and the economic resurgence of the south led him into the practical career of public opinion polling and market research.

Carey Crantford has worked in the research field his entire professional career. Before helping to found the firm in 1986, Mr. Crantford served as research director for a variety of academic projects coordinated by the University of South Carolina. He was educated at Furman University and received graduate training at Wake Forest University and the University of South Carolina.

Mr. Crantford specializes in survey research methodologies, data analysis and focus group moderation. He is also a frequent speaker on trends in public opinion, Southern politics, referenda planning and legal communications strategies.
